February Goals

The first month of 2017 is officially over. This new year feels so good already. I'm sharing my personal and blog goals for February.

The first month of 2017 is officially over. This new year feels so good already.

January held some new things for me. I started a new job, celebrated my 1st Blogiversary, and did a rebrand! It was a pretty fantastic month overall. Let's see how I did on my goals.

January Recap

  • Focus on some self-care by taking a relaxing bath - This was amazing and muchly needed
  • Organize my home office/get ready to paint home office -  ....I've been putting this off as much as I can, but it has to get tackled soon or it'll just get worse!
  • Finish reading You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life This book is amazing and I highly recommend it. I loved it from the very first paragraph.

  • Lose 5 pounds - I have no idea whether I accomplished this or not. This week is NOT the week to step on the scale ... if you catch my drift (sorry for tmi). I think I've done pretty well, but maybe not 5 pounds well.
  • Take 8,000 steps on weekdays and 10,000 steps on weekends - I didn't hit my goal every day, but I did make sure to get more steps than I normally would have.
  • Go to the gym once - I did it!! It took me until the end of the month to do it, but I made it happen (and I survived).
  • Come up with 2 new take-to-work lunches - I tried one new lunch idea and ended up hating it. What can I say? I guess I like the same thing every day.

Blog/Social Media
  • Reveal my rebrand on January 22nd (my 1 Year Blogaversary!) - YAY!!! I'm so happy about my rebrand and my new blog design.
  • Outline 3 Youtube videos - This task was also very exciting. Now that I have 3 video ideas it gives me even more motivation to get my office done so I can start filming them.
  • Publish 5 blog posts - My content took a backseat this month. I have lots of posts in the works, but I couldn't pull through and publish any of them in January.

Starting a new job threw off my routine a little bit and my goals for this month took a backseat. Now that things feel a bit more regular I'm ready to kick butt in February.

February Goals

  • Learn to knit (this is one of the things on my 30 before 30 list)
  • Get office ready to paint home office
  • Make a "new" car budget plan (another thing on my 30 before 30 list)
  • Clean out my closet

  • Go to the gym once a week (ohhh geeezzeee)
  • Only drink pop or alcohol once a week (and only ONE glass)
  • take 8,000 steps on weekdays and 10,000 steps on weekends

Blog/Social Media
  • Make a social media posting/sharing schedule
  • Develop an opt-in incentive for my mailing list
  • Get through 2 e-mail courses (I have tons of email freebies/courses waiting for me in my inbox)

Looking at this list, it doesn't seem too bad. I'm most excited about learning how to knit - haha! I haven't really learned a new skill in awhile so to me it'll be really neat to learn. I also like the idea that I can do it while I'm binge watching Grey's Anatomy ;)
